With the presentation of its Report to the Government of Bermuda on August 10, 2005, the Bermuda Independence Commission has effectively completed its work.

The Commission thanks all of the people of Bermuda for their contribution to the process over the past eight months; be it by way of the numerous formal submissions or by way of participation at the public meetings.

This notice is to advise that the administrative office, telephone, post office address and email of the Bermuda Independence Commission will be closed with effect from August 31, 2005.  All enquiries can be directed to Mr. Warren Jones of the Central Policy Unit, telephone 298-7167 – fax 296-0555 – email wjones@gov.bm.

The Commission is pleased to indicate, however, that the website at www.bermudaindependencecommission.bm will remain in place and represents a comprehensive source of information on the subject of independence for Bermuda.  In fact, it is anticipated that once the Report is made public, it will also be posted on this website.
